Poppies & Barley Horseshoe

Our Poppies and Barley are all made by hand. Each petal and barley stem are individually drawn and forged into shape. No two are ever the same. The poppies are made from reclaimed copper and the horseshoe can be from your own horse or from one that Mike shoes on a regular basis.

Poppies are well known for their symbolism in remembrance of those who have died in service of our country. Since Ancient times poppies have been placed on tombstones to represent Eternal Sleep and associated with sleep and dreams. This enchanting and delicate flower is also a symbol of peace and goodwill. Poppies are also a happy flower that brings joy, their bright red colour is seen as lucky in many cultures and it's said to attract love, luck, fertility, and money if you carry the seeds in your pocket. Barley is a symbol of love, healing, protection, fertility, and prosperity so it is often partnered with Poppies in floral displays.

Adding in the Horseshoe brings its own symbolism, this is said to bring good luck and good fortune as well as protect the home from bad luck.

• 28cm high and 19cm wide approx
• Roughly 28cm H x 19cm W (however this varies depending on your own shoes if you choose to use them)
• Each one is handmade and as such they will vary slightly in colour and composition, making for a unique gift.
• We currently have none in stock but they are available to order and would be ready to ship in 7 to 10 days time.
